From choosing a model to clearing customs at your home port — the complete process for a first-time overseas buyer, explained in order.
Importing a used car from China for the first time can feel like a lot of unknowns at once — which model to pick, how pricing actually works, what paperwork you need, and how long the whole process takes. Here is the process broken into the order it actually happens.
Start with your budget and destination country, not the car. Every country has its own age limit and duty structure — a model that is a great deal FOB can land at a very different total cost once duty is applied, and some model years simply will not clear customs in stricter markets. Check the import guide for your country first, then shortlist models.
FOB (Free On Board) is the price of the vehicle loaded at the Chinese export port, before freight, insurance and your country's duty are added. Send us the model and your destination on WhatsApp and we return an FOB range within 24 hours.
Landed cost = FOB + freight + insurance + import duty. This is the number that actually matters for your budget. We calculate this alongside the FOB quote once we know your destination port.
Before the unit ships, we send photos and video of the actual car (not stock images), and prepare the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin. For larger orders we can arrange a third-party pre-shipment inspection.
