The process runs in four steps: (1) we prepare the export documents and ship the car; (2) the vehicle clears customs in Callao against the invoice, bill of lading and certificate of origin; (3) you pay the 9% duty plus VAT; and (4) you register the vehicle with Peruvian authorities. You can complete most of steps 3 and 4 through a local customs agent.
